BABIP: Batting Average on Balls In Play. Measures how often a ball hit into the field of play goes for a hit. Formula: (H - HR) / (AB - K - HR + SF).
Corsi: A plus-minus metric for all shot attempts in ice hockey (Goals + Saves + Missed Shots + Blocked Shots). Used as a proxy for possession.
EPA: Expected Points Added. A football metric that quantifies how much a specific play increased or decreased a team's expected point total for that drive.
TS%: True Shooting Percentage. A comprehensive measure of basketball shooting efficiency taking into account 2-pointers, 3-pointers, and free throws.
xG: Expected Goals. A soccer metric that measures the quality of a chance by calculating the likelihood that it will be scored.
